PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The Pier A Reconfiguration project forms part of AIAL’s overall Terminal Development, Plan (TDP), envisioned to establish a unified ‘single front door’ by 2044.

The Pier A Reconfiguration Project, a vital element of the TDP initiative, focuses on enhancing service levels within the existing Pier A building. The final concept, crafted by the TDP design team, focuses on optimization for improved passenger flow and enhanced security screening capabilities, aligning with the broader vision of creating a seamless and sustainable airport experience.

The project extends the enhancements of the International to International (I2I) Transfer Facility ‘s capacity to cater for future demand.

The project integrates a decarbonization strategy, replacing outdated infrastructure with energy-efficient solutions, aligning with AIAL’s standards and enhancing operational resilience.

With sustainability at its core, the project aligns with AIAL’s commitment to operational efficiency, offering a blueprint for future phases while responding to client feedback and accommodating evolving air travel demands.
