PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The project involves replacing 35,000m2 of 420-600mm thick reinforced concrete slabs that were constructed in the 1960s.

The works will be undertaken with taxiway closures and also include 23,000m2 of asphalt pavement, replacement of Airfield Ground Lighting (AGL), paint markings and below-ground services.

The works are phased over several Separable Portions, to mitigate the impact on airport operations.

Design engineering was undertaken by Mott MacDonald and Beca. The physical works were competitively tendered, and awarded via a Framework Agreement.

Cuesko are engaged by Auckland Airport to provide full QS services, including concept and detailed design cost estimation, procurement, tender evaluation / negotiation, post-contract quantity surveying and cost management.
