Charlie 1 / Charlie 5 (Work Package 4)

Auckland International Airport is undergoing a transformation, and significant developments are taking place, including Charlie 1 and Charlie 5 as part of the plan. In our capacity as cost consultants, our focus was specifically on the tendering, procurement, and construction monitoring phases of the demolition of the Interwaste building.  This demolition aimed to open valuable real estate for subsequent developments.

The envisioned developments by Auckland International Airport Limited encompassed civil and infrastructure works, as well as the establishment of Fixed-Based Operator (FBO) facilities and a couple of hangars for aircraft. We played a key role in providing cost advice on the feasibility of these developments to the Airport. This advice was presented in the form of a “shopping list,” outlining the various options and arrangements proposed by the designers.
