Oakridge Villas - Stage 6

Oakridge Stage 6 Retirement Village is a greenfield extension of the existing development located in Kerikeri.

The project was delivered under separate civil and infrastructure contracts, which included a major diversion of the existing town stormwater system. Following the commencement of the civil works, a separate construction contract was awarded for the development of 36 villas and associated landscaping. Villa construction progressed concurrently with the civil works, necessitating clear communication and close coordination between the two contractors.

Cuesko’s role on the project included the provision of cost estimates, cost management, and post-contract administration services.

All 36 villas have now been successfully completed and handed over to Metlifecare.

Key challenges encountered during the project included:

• – Significant bulk excavation
• – Management of an overland flow path
• – Staging of works to allow occupancy of completed villas
• – Coordination between separate contractors on a congested site
